There's terminals on opposite sides of the screens - the one on the driver's side has a good 12v supply that comes on and off as it should (14.4v actually) and the cable on the other side that disappears into the tailgate frame has a good connection to earth. Switch off ignition, lock car etc as normal. Back in and switch on and no volume. Mute showing at top of screen so hit switch on steering wheel to un-mute.
